One Dollar For Life
For over 25 years, Mercy Ministries has provided hope and healing to generations of desperate young women who are seeking freedom from life controlling problems such as eating disorders, self-mutilation, sexual or physical abuse, addictions, severe depression, and unplanned pregnancies. It is the vision of The Family Church to become part of the answer rather than part of the problem by partnering with ministries such as this. Each year on Mother's Day The Family Church joins with Mercy Ministries by participating in their One Dollar for Life campaign in which each person is encouraged to contribute one dollar. At Mercy Ministries they find a solution (not a treatment) for the problems these young women face. Their lives are transformed as they experience the power of God's love, forgiveness and His power. Their hopes and dreams are restored, and they go back home ready to impact their world. Presently there are 700 girls on the waiting list to get into this program. Join us in being part of the answer for girls in crisis. Come prepared to give generously to this worthwhile ministry on Mother's Day, May 11.
Guest Speaker -- Terry Tripp Ministries
We are blessed to have Terry Tripp at The Family Church on Sunday, May 18th in our regular 10:00 AM service. Terry is a preacher and author as well as a talented singer. He has appeared weekly on Trinity Broadcasting Network for over 20 years and has also been a speaker at events such as The Believer’s Conference in Sunrise, Florida. Terry has authored 5 books, recorded 7 solo projects and shared the stage with gospel legends such as Vicki Winans, The Isaacs, and Donnie Mclurkin. Come and enjoy this unique and blessed ministry.
Camp Dry Gulch
All registered campers need to be packed and ready to leave for camp after church on Sunday, June 8. All camp fees must be paid in full and a completed Medical/Liability Release form must be turned in before leaving that day. Rhonda Mock and Christy Thurman are this years sponsors.

Operation Shoebox
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well, the storage room downstairs it beginning to look a lot like Christmas anyway!!! Thanks so much to those of you who have generously provided toothbrushes, toothpaste, brushes, and soap to be placed in the shoeboxes that will be distributed by Living Water teaching in Central America this Christmas. During the months of May and June we will be collecting shampoo. Each child receiving a shoebox this year will also be offered the opportunity to receive the greatest gift of all -- Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. In addition to that, each shoebox from The Family Church will include a copy of the gospel of John in Spanish along with the gifts and personal care items. Please pray that these natural gifts will help open the hearts of the children and teenagers to receive God's love.
Vacation Bible School
Kids, pack your gear, prepare to set sail, and discover how to live God's unshakeable truth on Outrigger Island during Vacation Bible School 2008 at Faith Christian Family Church. It will be a week of non-stop action as you learn how to live God's word. You will explore five Bible truths -- God is real; Jesus is God's Son; Jesus is the only way; the Bible is God's Word; and my actions show what I believe. By the end of the week you will have learned what it means to know, speak, and live the truth. In this one week adventure you will hear Bible stories, participate in cool crafts, warm up to motivating music, eat snacks at the Snack Shack and play games at Recreation Reef. This adventure begins June 16-20 beginning at 9 AM each day at Faith Christian Family Church. There will be classes for children age 3 though the 6th grade.
